Hi, the infamous #6460 bug (aka. "Fix memory wipe with recent kernel") is fixed by blacklisting the mei-me and mei modules, on the only hardware I currently have at hand that exposed the bug.
Please review'n'merge feature/disable-mei for 0.23. Assigned to anonym. Note that this branch is based on bugfix/linux-kbuild-3.12-from-testing. The only commit it adds on top is: commit 95660b75da58779477ce7fa21841613085d43fff Author: Tails developers <[email protected]> Date: Thu Feb 27 08:32:47 2014 +0000 Disable the Intel Management Engine Interface driver. It is only useful to take benefit from the integrated ME, for out-of-band management, OS watchdog etc., which: 1. we don't care about in Tails 2. might be dangerous 3. causes bugs on various hardware (e.g. systems that reboot when asked to shut down) Cheers, -- intrigeri | GnuPG key @ https://gaffer.ptitcanardnoir.org/intrigeri/intrigeri.asc | OTR fingerprint @ https://gaffer.ptitcanardnoir.org/intrigeri/otr.asc _______________________________________________ tails-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
