Thanks for taking the time to report this problem.

Unfortunately, what you are trying to do is not a supported use case of
Tails. This mean that, we can't provide you any guarantee on whether
this works and what are the results of what you are doing in terms of
security. For example, /etc/tor/torrc is been modified by other pieces
of code in Tails, and that might interact badly with your changes.

But you might be interested in knowing that those are issues that we
want to address at some point but that requires quite some work and we
are working on scarce human resources.
