Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook here. I've enabled developer mode,
reflashed it with firmware from johnlewis.ie, and have Ubuntu 14.04
installed on it (which is fully operational apart from the touchpad).
When trying to run Tails 1.2.3, I get a kernel panic:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
exitcode=0x00007f00
In the past we've seen the same issue on the Acer Chromebook C720, and
it was workaround'ed by passing the mem=1500m boot option. We've been
told this issue can't be reproduced anymore on that machine, but I'm
not really surprised that it's affecting other Chromebooks.
So, please try mem=1500m and mem=1952M (thanks to Peter Presland for
the latter suggestion) and report back. Thanks!
Unfortunately, neither of them worked. :( Thank you for your
suggestions, peeps. :)
John
