-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 I recently installed Tails on a flash drive. It went smoothly, except no matter what I do, I can't connect to the internet while running Tails. My wireless connection is fine when I'm not using Tails.
Tails boots normally. I've tried disabling MAC spoofing and using the option in the Tails greeter for firewalls/proxies/etc, but Tails still claims it cannot detect a network device. My only option is to configure a VPN. I also tried using Unsafe Browser, but it told me it couldn't detect a network (I can paste in the exact message if that helps). Tails is on a Staples Relay 16GB flashdrive. I know that's on the list of problematic flashdrives, but the problem the Tails website describes for that drive is that Tails will start and Tails Greeter will not, and that's not the problem I'm having. Tails starts completely, it just lacks a wireless connection. My computer is a Macbook Air with OS X, if that matters. Can anyone help? I'm a rookie at all of this, so it's possible I'm just making a really dumb mistake... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJUyZ2bAAoJEORFfCwvYk0GD70QAJeDPnKhUuLsFDmRln1M2vyk 9RO61Wy8GP1c3/zy1LEJ7e8kX12KkfU8iSujh5c0gbDnEbj/7FTFtTuv6dHFxQKI hjhw1ftp9eMTYvBAQo3z+FnXvHDYMyStt1Z/+cYFICwU60tIoJrvpHYPY3ukEK8p VxVRqMIGIaP3C10y8IZPyJkAt6TZE7GD7IxBAU1hPdVfy17TQpeofM1jrkAo6Bdk R5TVVuA06V+IylfCMt62kHqIyG70QCh18Xh3Af7VROMpVW3klwG/85O3DU7Fd+Vd qeDyuNkvLxslJwJssLYBZnxuBD9kR2jrG8Th5e7+qohZuhMPqxTQdKuMAEi3IrgQ hLVn4H9QOELRkywKcTaXtp3KpyZpMkV4V+efIOmjlMI2abtEHni4A22vAoDKX22Z ms5UisqZi0IMErrTfH9y6IxeO9VUYj1LJcMDkF2mPEFM/FrQ6oTppVH+m3hacmNG Uywytblk80HRuX9nheMmg9s8mScqSQ+dRxNNVG2nYTc/JNdxV2bSqpXarqZgBkvJ UwFid5uqjb8Su/ldC0wzudZPnbPfoQ58c4XJTf4hda3dNjndDkwuzbav/G5rCh7T j3FDwKtCn58Ux0Me8bRr8KIAMpRaoI7oJdwPw8aGN7fYLDCE385GNsEdhZl2sVqX Zp4Gfq2ay9wNIQEPD8iR =WCCP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
