This is true. * The person who responded said that Tor advises against using this setting. This is also true.=20 Thats not the point, OP asked how to do something, not your or anyone elses opinion of whether it is safe to do it, do you not get frustrated when someone answers a question you didnt ask? There are plenty of reasons to lock in a certain exit node temporarily, how exactly does this compromise ones security anymore than if that exit node were selected in software at random? In fact there is one major longstanding security flaw of tails that the Tor devs have stated is major but tails devs refuse to address, and thats persistent guard nodes, using the method i detailed you can lock in your guard node to automatically bootup every session with persistence enabled, im sure there are alot of spooks on here who like to keep people misinformed on the issues at hand but ill be damned if im going to let them. -------- Original Message -------- From: kytv <[email protected]> Apparently from: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Tails-support] Tailes and Tor IP Help Date: Sun, 22 Mar 2015 20:01:31 +0000 (UTC) > _______________________________________________ > tails-support mailing list > [email protected] > https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support > To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to > [email protected]. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
