Hello everyone! First I'd like to thank you for the work you do on this project. You make the world a better place.
I wanted to report a possible regression in 2.7. I am no longer able to get Tails to boot, either in normal startup or in failsafe. In normal startup, it goes to a blank black screen with only a single underscore character in the top left. When attempting a failsafe startup, it reads "Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)... ok" and then has the solid underscore at the beginning of the next line. If I add the "edd=off" string to the boot time options for failsafe, I get the same behavior as the normal startup attempt. I was able to boot 2.6 without issue immediately before attempting this. Unfortunately I deleted the 2.6 ISO image and am unable to find it on the site (I would imagine this is by design to try to prevent users from running vulnerable versions?). For giggles I deleted the VM and tried to start from scratch again, getting the same result. I am running macOS 10.12.1 and Virtualbox 5.1.8 r111374. Any suggestions on things I can try or additional information I can provide for you?
