I think that's something the downstream data consumers can calculate from
the OSM data rather than tags we add to OSM. This is how

Fair enough - there is some Rust code that looks like it does the heavy lifting
there.
It does also highlight a couple of spots where I obviously stuffed up the named
stream import... :)
If I develop it further, then I'll add some more documentation. At the
moment, I am just exporting the layer as GeoJSON and dragging it into ID.

Thanks, there seem to be a lot of people in the bushwalking community using
this or similar approaches for finding passes, canyons etc.
