Tnx Graeme

Well there is a fairly new Welcome to Tenterfield sign just north of the racecourse;

There are also bridge and surface warning signs out on the road to Stannum/Torrington with a Tenterfield shire origin.

DCS Topo also seems to line up with the OSM data (if DCS is up to date)

IMO the shire boundaries look pretty correct, it's just the location panel that is iffy.

Thanks

    Am I correct in my assumption that the location panel in OSMid is
    unreliable as far as LGA's are concerned?

    Example, Deepwater NSW (as a locality) extends north almost to
    Bolivia Hill, yet the shire boundary Glen Innes Severn vs
    Tenterfield changes just after the racecourse north of the
    village. The location panel stays as Glen Innes Severn LGA for
    nodes etc north of this boundary.

    If they are unreliable for LGAs's could that also extend to
    postcodes and locality/village/town names? ie should we doubt that
    it is an authoritative source?

    Thanks
