I'm still under the impression that historic=battlefield is not meant for each individual bunker or bomb. The typical example in Belgium would be Waterloo. The trenches in the Westhoek would also fall in this category.


They are definitely not historic, in fact, they are a nature reserve and are protected now, so it would not be appropriate since there is no real historic value, the story about those craters is explained at the entrance of the reserve I think to remember. But that's all there is to it.

I did seem to think I saw most bunkers being marked correctly, so without battlefield tag. But I didn't check with JOSM directly. Just marking it as a bunker is fine but the battlefield tag is most probably overkill.
