In don't really get it: My algorithm to find unmapped places, works as follows:
- Use every place node of the OSM dataset which has a village-tag (place=village). - Search in a radius of ca. 700 m for a street with one of the following highway-values: residential, unclassified or service. If no street can be found, mark the place as “unmapped”! So I go to 'Leest' The first one I see and that node/point is literally surrounded by 'residential' highways. I left a remark for him. http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/unmapped#17/51.03465/4.41442 On 21-06-16 18:44, Marc Gemis wrote: > Pascal Neis created a new tool for finding unmapped places [1] > I was surprised to see so many villages in Belgium. > Seems like there are some double place name nodes (see comments on that page). > Maybe a boundary specialist wants to take a look > > regards > > m > > > > [1] http://neis-one.org/2016/06/unmapped-places-osm/ > > _______________________________________________ > Talk-be mailing list > Talk-be@openstreetmap.org > https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-be > _______________________________________________ Talk-be mailing list Talk-be@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-be
