I did some initial prototyping of an import script (which is in the SVN repository) about a year or so ago that we can probably use as a starting point in going forward, the largest issues that I ran into then were in coming up with mappings of what goes to what, which varies per province. So in reality it isn't so much a single large dataset but rather 13 distinct imports for just the roads alone as each province and territory has their own classification system (what may be a officially considered secondary highway in one province may be a primary or tertiary in the neighboring and may not match up with the common OSM guidelines for any, for instance) that has been incorporated into the mappings that Geobase use in the data files. -Jason Reid _______________________________________________ Talk-ca mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca
