Hi, i have an area, which i found interesting. The York Creek (river) ish.. Anyway it shows the rivers/creeks water bodies that users added in, but then also we have what is available. which we need to make a 'best guess'. It shows that in some cases the GPS track is more accurate than what canvec has.... as it was derived from Vector data. which is not as accurate (i think)
Watercourse, indefinite - ( Cours d'eau, indéfini ) 1470191 Watercourse, isolated - ( Cours d'eau, isolé ) 1470071 Watercourse, non isolated - ( Cours d'eau, non isolé ) 1470171 Watercourse, unknown - ( Cours d'eau, inconnu ) 1470251 None, isolated - ( Aucun, isolé ) 1470011 None, non isolated - ( Aucun, non isolé ) 1470111 None, unknown - ( Aucun, inconnu ) 1470211 -2 Indefinite Not determined -1 Unknown Impossible to determine. 0 False Not isolated 1 True Isolated Hopefully you all can help differentiate these 4 and also the 'none' features. and tag each. The chart is available for editing :) http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/CanVec:_Hydrography_(HD) So i now (more strongly) disagree that some of the features here should be merged into the same line. ONLY the Area/line/points which are Identical needs to be merged.. as the numbers represent different map features. So with your permission (Jean Moreau) i would like to fix the chart appropriately. And hopefully i can find more eyes on these charts to make it better :) Also, the big question remains.... would it be smarter to import direct from GeoBase instead?? Thanks, Sam
