I read a few weeks ago that you were seeking an ftp site to upload/download Canvec files in Osm format. The objective was to ease uploading of Canvec data by the Openstreetmap community - some converting Canvec shape file into Osm, the others uploading them using JOSM. I have set up such a site wich will be available next week at ftp://ftp2/osm/pub/ <http://ftp2/osm/pub> Actually, I am not personally offering it (even if I am very pleased with that) but it is on behalf of the Center for Topographic Information in Sherbrooke (NRCan). We are pleased to see the interest of the community in Canvec data and hope this will help. For those who are converting Canvec shape file to Osm and wish to make them available on that site, send me an email and I will provide you with the location of the incoming site and some uploading rules.
