I went to the OpenGov WestBC #ogwbc conference yesterday at uVic and it was great to see how much interest there is in Opening up the data (of all types). My hopes is that the rest of the country will be able to follow the leadership of Surrey, BC who made their data public domain. Whats (seriously) funny, is that all that is needed is a decision by the premier of the province to make it a law, .... like Sanfransisco did. .... maybe..
