Hi All, It's a question we've all wanted to ask. "How many Tim Hortons locations are in Canada, according to OpenStreetMap?" But without a Canada polygon, we had to rely on deprecated is_in tags or subtracting US Timmys from total Timmys and hoping that would be close enough.
Well, now we have a boundary relation for Canada, #1428125 http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/1428125 And if you are running a minutely update, that relation has propagated so you can now ask your local PostGIS server how many Tim Hortons are in OSM in Canada, and you'll get the answer. 554.
