Just wondering what criteria people are using to determine what's a village and what's just a farm, or manor house, or something.
Currently I'm doing an area about 20 miles from where I used to live, and about 40 miles from where I live now where I've heard of most of the villages but not actually been there, so to speak. So my current criteria is: "if I've heard of it, or if it's in large type, put it in". There are a few other things in small italic type which might be hamlets, but which might not be...
