I'm only beginning to get into Mapdust checking as part of my 'gardening' work.
(Usually I will check OS Locator mismatches, noname streets, and OpenStreetBugs
as guides of where to go and resurvey.) There is certainly a lot of junk in
there. But the bug reports that are good are often very good; they are real
issues usually with routing ('no through road', 'no left turn') and affecting
real users. For now, I am resurveying before I make any change to the map, but
there might be a case for taking Mapdust user reports at face value and fixing
them on a balance-of-probabilities basis: if somebody driving a car reports that
there is no through road, they are hardly likely to be wrong about it.
