Isn't that what the orange colour represents?
I thought that it referred to, say, a 'red' coloured way was joined
into a 'clean' way. Deletion of the 'red' way would remove a node from
the 'clean' way but not erase it completely. Am I wrong?
It appears Brian is correct.
Geofabrik is displaying it incorrectly.
If a way is created by an acceptor, but subsequently edited by a
decliner it should be listed as orange, However OSM Inspector lists it
as "harmless" yellow. Beware.
