Further to my previous mail. I have added a section about bookmakers on the UK Retail Chain <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/UK_Retail_Chains#Bookmakers> page which I set up recently (at least in part to make it easier to know what the consensus tagging was for various chains).
Here is a GeoJSON <https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8mwi2by0ub0tow/gb_funny_bookies.geojson?dl=0>file with the anomalous values, everything is a node with centroid of a polygon replacing the way. I hope this might mean we can hunt down and resolve some of the long tail of tag values. Note that we have a long way to go before we have all UK bookmaker shops mapped (only around 10% of Ladbrokes). I'll seek figures for the other chains. Thanks for Matthijs for raising this.
