From the discussions I am trying to summarise the discussion. Network on railway stations being *National Rail* which includes local networks operated on tracks maintained by Network Rail from which tickets are available to all other stations on this network. This will include local networks such as Merseyrail, London Overground and others which are part of Train Operating Companies (TOC's) on National Rail. Other stations may belong to other networks e.g. *Nexus*,* London Underground*, *Glasgow Subway*, *Docklands Light Railway (DLR)* and the networks of the various tram systems. Sheffield Tram Train is unique and may really be part of Sheffield Supertram. The main distinction between these is the availability of ticketing - cross network ticketing is rare or highly specific. Is it possible to agree this usage of network? If so it could be put onto the GB WIKI page.
