HI I have been adding my local bus route(s) to OSM and for many of the saves I have also been updating some quite long trunk road relations.
I do see the irony of asking about the value of relations when I am adding other relations but. Whilst I understand the reason they are needed in the US where refs are routes, where in the UK a road can only have one ref so effectively they are just a collection of ways which share a ref, which has no more utility than a relation of all the pubs called the Red Lion. Does anything actually use these? One I have touched, the A41 has a huge gap in the middle.
