I have frequently realigned features from good imagery after adjusting
for offsets, only to find that I have inadvertently moved a bunch of
other ways of which I have no knowledge. I used to spend hours trying to
untangle the mess, but these days I tend to take the view that if people
share nodes, they deserve what they get.

Of course, I realise that it often happens without any such
intention by inexperienced mappers in some editors. But life is too
short :-(
