NE England seems the same.
My working assumption is Microsoft/Meta/Amazon have switched focus to
Overture Maps Foundation, so high-res imagery is ageing out (e.g. Bing).
The old 6-12 month update cadence is long gone. :-(
There are still some oddities where low zoom is 1-2years old, but closer
in 5 years old-ish.
I'm using a GoPro, bike, and Mapillary to copy/paste known new build
footprints (source=eye), and correct with cadastral data later.
