Hi all, I've done a fair bit on railways over the last month. However, there are some changes I can't edit with the ID editor.
* Railway status (open / closed) is ~98% complete. * Railway electrification is ~99.99% complete, but voltage and current is only ~95% complete. * Gauge is ~99% complete. * Number of tracks is perhaps 10% complete, but as much wrong as right. * Passenger rail - confused * Railway operator - confused If anyone can fix them or show me how to fix them, I would be grateful. Thank you Colm ---------------------------------------------------------------- Railway status (I can fix this, but I want people's opinions) * Antrim-Lisburn has no scheduled service, but sees occasional passenger service when other routes aren't available (maintenance, bomb scares). Recommendation "Rail" (change of status), but any stations marked as "Closed" * Rosslare Strand-Belview Port (Waterford) has no scheduled service, but is available for use, but only maintenance trains run on it. Recommendation "Disused Rail" (no change of status) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Railway Electrification - Voltage and current needing setting Luas - 750 V DC, Hz = 0 DART - 1500 V DC, Hz = 0 http://www.itoworld.com/map/172?lon=-6.27634&lat=53.29345&zoom=10&fullscreen=true * Luas Red - Tallaght, Red Cow depot, Busarás-Connolly-George's Dock * Luas Green - Sandyford depot * DART - Malahide, Howth Junction-Connolly (including Fairview and Connolly sidings), Pearse-Grand Canal Dock (including sidings), Shankill-Bray (including sidings) (2), Greystones (2) * Irish Rail - Portlaoise (bridge north-east of station) - shouldn't be electrified. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Railway Gauge - http://www.itoworld.com/map/159?lon=-7.24177&lat=52.79585&zoom=9&fullscreen=true Bord na Móna - Littleton, Tipperary - should be 914mm gauge. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Number of tracks http://www.itoworld.com/map/14?lon=-6.31548&lat=53.36544&zoom=13&fullscreen=true All single except: Irish Rail - Stations, depots, yards, sidings, passing loops Irish Rail - Dublin Heuston-Cork-Cobh Irish Rail - Limerick area Irish Rail - Bray-Dublin-Dundalk-border with Northern Ireland Irish Rail - Howth Branch Irish Rail - Dublin Connolly-Maynooth Irish Rail - Dublin Heuston-Dublin Connolly-Dublin Port Irish Rail - Dunboyne branch NIR - Stations, depots, yards, sidings, passing loops NIR - Bangor-Belfast Central-Great Victoria Street-Newry-border with Republic of Ireland NIR - Belfast Yorkgate - Downshire (on Larne line) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Passenger rail http://www.itoworld.com/map/171?lon=-7.55582&lat=53.32851&zoom=8&fullscreen=true * Irish Rail - 100% passenger rail except depots, yards, sidings, disused lines, Dublin Port - Dublin Connolly-Dublin Heuston, Drogheda-Navan, Waterford-Belview Port (Waterford). * NIR - 100% passenger rail except depots, yards, sidings. * Luas - 100% passenger rail except depots, yards, sidings. Additional track under construction. * Bushmills Railway, narrow gauge, but passenger only. * Bord na Móna, narrow gauge, but freight only. Passengers service has ended. * The rails at Harland & Wolff are crane rails. * There a re small few heritage railways. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Railway operator http://www.itoworld.com/map/248?lon=-6.54439&lat=53.27662&zoom=9&fullscreen=true 1600mm gauge in ROI = Irish Rail 1600mm gauge in NI = NIR What about the jointly operated Enterprise? 914mm guage in ROI = Bord na Móna 1435 gauge in ROI = Luas (Transdev - no longer Veolia, after reorganisation) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead _______________________________________________ Talk-ie mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ie
