Hi Mark, Thanks for your feedback, I have made most of the changes that I mentioned in my email but I didn't split any townlands (yet). It's a good point that I don't need to split a townland border just because a parish or barony border runs through it. As long as I assume that townlands do not add up to parishes, then townlands can overlap two different parishes. (i.e. we can run a parish border through the middle or a townland). I suppose this is ok then. The townland "Lugaphuill" then is just oddly shaped as you say.
Can someone confirm that townlands do not necessarily add up to civil parishes? Well if we don't split townlands: Below is an example of where "Druminracahill" townland IS split in two parts in OSM due to a civil parish boundary.
