There's nothing bad in developing a software that supports some feature not
voted yet. In worst case (for author) that piece of software will be rewritten
or thrown away.

No, in worst case the discussion on the proposal will stall, and the proposal will go on. Which is exactly what I find appalling. Why bother talking to us when you have us up yours?

If you're taking that as insult, your interpretation is definitely significantly
differs from majority's one.

Is it a mere coincidence that the majority which doesn't see a problem is also the majority that supports the proposal?
