You may import another OSM file with different prefix (osm2pgsql -p
newprefix) and leave existing data untouched.
That may work, but you have to rewrite all <Datasource>-entries in your
Mapnik style File. Using different Database names only requires to
exchange the datasource-settings.xml.inc in the inc-subdirectory.
