Some state parks near populated areas are utilized to the hilt - while they have trees, every available acre is utilized for hiking, biking, camping, swimming, and picnicking - so there are gray areas of classification.
If it is necessary to further classify parks in the US, one logical tag scheme might be park=city park=county park=state park=national -------------------- Original Message ----------------------------- From: Tyler > landuse=forest seems to be most appropriate for most DNR/state/national > forest things but us US folks should probably come up with a reasonable > tagging scheme for differentiating County/State/City/Federal parks (the > kind with boats, and hiking trails and rampant wilderness) from say, > Boston Public Gardens. _______________________________________________ Talk-us mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-us
