I'd go one step further. Folks in Europe don't scoff at the idea that you might need to make different renderings per nation, but folks who aren't as familiar with the US don't realize how state specific many attributes are (I can elaborate on this if necessary). I'd suggest that a "US render" would be a first step, and that really one would need state-specific rendering rules.
