Any conflation (matting of new data to OSM data) should use multiple fuzzy
clues: location, name, type.
The gnis id tag is useful as a fuzzy clue.
Every clue is useful.

I think *keeping* the tag makes sense, even though *depending* on the tag
would be asking too much.
