Thanks. > i have generally tried to use about the same approach as you did to this one, map what's really on the ground, and yes, you do end up with a lot of turn restrictions. here is the newish SPUI in Latham, NY, which i mapped shortly after it was completed a couple of years ago. i originally mapped with stuff coming together, and afterwards decided that it really needed to be done properly. i think the main reason to go into all the detail is to insure routing engines have correct and complete descriptions of the road network:
