Fully agree with you there Paul. Just have to watch out for those few 'rare' exceptions to the rule I mentioned before for the future 'ref:penndot' tag where some mainline route have different 'SR' numbers in the white boxes.

I believe a quick at-a-glance sanity check would suggest that any ref outside the range of PA 3 and PA 999 is probably incorrect or a ref:penndot.
