Drove AZ77 today and did some updates on it based on what I noticed. But when editing came across this area:

It is actually fairly common in the area for tracks and trails on desert land to follow a wash for some distance. And there are places where the entire length of a OHV or foot recreational trail is in a dry wash. Should it be mapped with two overlapping ways, one for the trail/track and one for the wash, or with one way tagged for both uses? My inclination is to use one way but that gives an issue with the name=* tag. In the case of the Cherry Wash Trail there is two names (“Cherry Wash” and “Cherry Wash Trail”). My thought is to use one way with the following tags: highway=path name=Cherry Wash Trail alt_name=Cherry Wash waterway=stream intermittent=yes Thoughts? Comments? Thank you Tod
