The “USA/Mexico/Canada/Scandinava Topo Maps” works for me. Interesting that the server for this is CalTopo. I haven’t looked at the Scandinava area, but the Canada and Mexico maps are definitely not from the USGS, you can see that by looking at the US-Mexico and US-Canada border areas. I wonder where CalTopo is getting those maps and if they meet OSM’s licensing requirements. I guess I won’t worry too much about that for my US mapping but someone might want to look into it.
