Hi It seems to me that OSM is very incomplete at the moment: many streets in Joburg are not on the map, not named, or worse: named wrong. I've been adding/naming/fixing some of them, but is there some easier way to get street names than driving there and having a look?
Also is there any measure of OSM's completeness for cities in SA? It also occurred to me that mapping features could be done much easier in reverse: for example, instead of adding petrol stations to OSM one-by-one as you find them, contact Shell/Engen/BP/Caltex/etc. and ask them for a list of all their petrol stations in the country, with GPS coordinates, then add them to OSM en-mass. Has anybody tried something like this? Thank you Damjan
