Yeah that rule seem to have sort of gone out of the window, although the owner of the list him self hasn't really mentioned it at all. I know at the time the big issue was bandwith and connection and amoutn of which was wasted if a one liner with all the original crap message would be past. Another issue is that one linters can be annoying, although I admit I am guilty of it my self, at least I don't send emails just saying things like: "lol" or "I agree" and nothing else, now that is what really annoys me and is totally pointless and useless.
