If you're using jaws, when you click on confirm a number of checkboxes apeare. For some reason jaws can't see those checkboxes, so once you hit confirm you need to rout jaws to PC and you should be able to see those checkboxes, which give several options about how you met that particular person, you can check one of them by doing the left click, once you check one of them you can go back to the virtual cursor and continue to use the website normaly.

facebook certainly isn't deserving of your complaints, you'll find that they are more then ready to be accoidating to users with visual impairments.

Sadly a lot of you can't do this, but for those in the UK who might be interested, it could prove interesting.
This is a possible time-waster so feel free to skip.

On Monday, September 10, 2007 1:16 PM,
Katherine Moonan happened to mention in passing:

Dear AbilityNet tester,

We are currently researching the use of social networking websites (such
as MySpace, YouTube and Facebook) by people with disabilities.

We'd like to hear about the networking sites you enjoy using, which ones
are not accessible to you and what improvements you would like to see
made.

Also, if you live in the Greater London area and would like to be take
part in a usability test or be interviewed on video please get in touch.

The questionnaire starts with an introduction; you can go straight to
the form if you don't want to read it.

We estimate the form will take between 20 and 45 minutes to complete,
depending on whether you're using an assistive technology.

If you don't want to fill out the whole questionnaire, you can either
complete the parts you're interested in or reply viaa email.

Please do forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.

All responses need to back by next Monday (17th September).

We have tested the form with a variety of assistive technologies but
even we get things wrong!

So if you have a problem, please do throw a tomato at me and if you have
a moment let us know and we'll fix it.

Many thanks in advance for your time,

Kath
