Yes, this is a Meditech Magic script. I've attempted to move it to rules in
the past but it was not reliable. I think now that I've got a little better
understanding of VB and Rules I might try to convert it to Rules again and see
how things go.
I'm using this code (and ClickYes) to Email Via Outlook.
Dim myOutlook As Object
Dim myMailItem As Object
' Make instance
Set myOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
' Make mail item
Set myMailItem = myOutlook.CreateItem(0)
' Set recipient (internal mail)
myMailItem.Recipients.Add "Bennett, Brian"
' Set subject
myMailItem.Subject = "The TASK+ report script has been completed."
' Set body
myMailItem.Body = "All accounts scripted should be found in the attached
TXT and DAT files. Thanks. Brian"
myMailItem.Attachments.Add "C:\RDM\Log\ScriptedAccounts" & Dte & ".txt"
myMailItem.Attachments.Add "C:\RDM\Reports\ScriptReport" & Dte1 & ".txt"
myMailItem.Attachments.Add "C:\RDM\Reports\Script" & Dte1 & ".dat"
' And send it!
myMailItem.Send
' Close instance
Set myOutlook = Nothing
When the original system first crashed I tried to set the script on a virtual
pc. It worked just fine, but emailing myself the status was failing, so I
moved it back to a stand alone. I know there is a better solution for email,
but that requires the cooperation of IT.
The other death of the script is at:
Connect "Save As", stWindows
Key "C:\RDM\Reports\script" & F("Rpt") & ".dat"
Enter ""
If I can find the original back up ( I'm terrible about not keeping a clean
copy of my scripts when I start modifying.) I'll restore and try again.
Thanks.

Subject: [talkbws] RE: Errors
Greetings,
Unfortunately, there's not a way to change what's thrown (other than a product
change) - but BWS throws that error in the following scenarios:
Connect "appTitle",stWindows - when apptitle is not there yet
Activate "appTitle", False - when apptitle is not there yet
These errors are completely preventable however by not doing the above when the
window isn't there yet:)
Sounds like this is a Meditech script?
With the current Meditech Magic connection, you can detect (and script) the
download window without needed a windows connection. The SmartDialog command
will let you "fill in" the window without even needed keystrokes.
As for the email - how exactly are you doing that? Feel free to email me
directly.
Regards,
Thom

Subject: [talkbws] Errors
Anyway to change the error message of Err.Raise Err? Methode '~' of object '~'
failed is just wee bit cryptic. I've got one script that has been
auto-churning a long just fine for little over a year. Then they HDD crashed.
Replaced pc, reloaded script and I'll be danged if I can get the job to run 3
times with out something timing out. Most times it's the connection to the
download window, on occasion it's the email function that crashes. Stop,
restart and it runs just fine for the next two times. Come back in the morning
and the morning running has hung.
As near as I can tell the pc setup is identical to the previous. The script is
VB based, but I'm thinking I may want to give rules based another try with this
one.
Thanks.
