I use Monarch called from a BWS script to do this kind of
"pre-processing". I have it export a file that I then use in
datastation. This way all of the "external" work is done before ever
connecting to Meditech.

Subject: [talkbws] Search DataStation

I'm sure I've asked this before, but not finding anything, not recalling
anything.

Is there a way to search records in the datastation without hitting
every record? I've got one datastation (D) with 5000+ records and
another (D1) with 8400 records. I need to check D against D1.
Currently I'm stepping through each record via Boston. I can do the
same thing faster in VB, but is there a "Faster" way? I don't want to
have Meditech time out on me while the datastations are being searched.

Thanks.
