We have VM boxes setup. Running with a single processor and between 400 - 500 memory. You can't run multiple scripts simultaneously on the same VM server with Meditech CS 5.64 or higher. VMWare has been stable and works better than the stand alone boxes they replaced.

The applications have no idea if they are on a VM or physical server and they don't care. The only time an application may not run on VM is if it needs to directly access some physical hardware such as a SAN HBA that doesn't have a VM driver.
