We have VM boxes setup. Running with a single processor and between 400
- 500 memory. You can't run multiple scripts simultaneously on the same
VM server with Meditech CS 5.64 or higher. VMWare has been stable and
works better than the stand alone boxes they replaced.

Subject: RE:[talkbws] VM ware specifications

I have Windows Server 2003 RC2 with 772 MB memory on my virtual machine.
I run multiple scripts on Meditech Magic and other apps all the time.
No problems.

Whether you can run multiple scripts simultaneously has nothing to do
with VM. The applications have no idea if they are on a VM or physical
server and they don't care. The only time an application may not run on
VM is if it needs to directly access some physical hardware such as a
SAN HBA that doesn't have a VM driver.
