Definitely local admin for any account running BWS. One thing that can
impact permissions is group policies that are applied to the machine.
You might want to consider speaking with the person at your site who
handles policy administration to determine if there is an issue there.

I've been using Windows 7 and Boston 9.8 patch 836 build 1481 and have
had no issues at all. However I had to make myself a local admin on the
PC.

Subject: [talkbws] Windows 7 and permissions

Is anybody having trouble running BWS in a Windows 7 environment? We
can't seem to get the permissions to stay off "read only" on the Bss70
folder. This causes my terminal server.exe not to connect. I have gone
through DOS and changed the permissions...but it doesn't really
happen..still "read only".

Thank you,

Mary Harvey
