A BWS forum would be a great addition to the
website. From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of JOHNSTON,DARON P Sent: Wednesday, May 10, 2006 9:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Talk] Forum's vs Listserv's I'm all for a forum on the
web site. They are usually very well organized.
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of Thom C. Blackwell Sent: Wed 5/10/2006 4:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Talk] Forum's vs Listserv's Greetings, Wanted to pose a question to the group – we are evaluating putting up a forum in the customer area of our website as potential alternative to the Talk Listserv – the archives would be updated into the forum for – most likely using a scriptJ
But before we do anything - we’d like to know what you all think.
The advantages of a forum are that it’s much easier to search, to scan through and follow threads and you don’t get the “out of office replies” when you post on a holiday. The biggest disadvantage in my mind is that it is not as “immediate” to post, you have to login to a website to do it.
So what are your thoughts?
Regards, Thom
