I have a Windows 7 desktop, running Win-Eyes 8.4, Malware Bytes and MS Security Essentials. Now, I don't have any way to prove this ridiculous statement, but the longer I live with it, and more I believe it! I think it's the virus and malware software that is doing strange things to our computers to make it impossible to continue the current state of affairs--namely, update definitions, and run scans!
You know scans are necessary when you get all manner of weird behaviors: Key-combo commands must be executed more than once; Cursor movement commands don't execute correctly or reliably; Talk about slowing you down! Well, try just shutting down your programs, update your virus and malware definitions, and run the scan for each, separately. Now Reboot from a total shutdown, and just see the difference. For me it's incredible.
