We chimed then switched focus to the new message and started reading it. I hit the dow arrow and WE resumed in the message I was originally reading. I don't mind the chime, good actually, but switching focus out of the current message is not a good thing to do me thinks if that is how you handle it. You might be using something else other than focus to read the alternate, new, message but with the various focus issues described by other list members I might guess you are somehow tippping focus when various system or application events occur. This is just a heads up to help with any analysis you might be doing related to Outlook or other focus issues and not a real problem unless it is not intended to work this way.
