When I am reading a message in windows live mail, and the chime that
tells me new mail has come in, window eyes just stops and I have to get out
of the message and get back in again so it will read it. Also, when I am
writing a message and new mail comes in, it totally interrupts my message.
As a matter of fact, it did it to this message and I had to escape out of it
and start it all over again, because it will not let me continue unless I
alt tab out of and back to the message, and do control shift a and read what
is there, and control shift a to get back to be able to write. But it puts
some kind of a break in there with a ding, and I don't know if it put the
cursor back where it belonged. Sometimes, it has me typing in a different
place and ruins the message. Pam.

Hi: I was just reading a message in outlook and a new message was added to
the InBox.
We chimed then switched focus to the new message and started reading it. I
hit the dow arrow and WE resumed in the message I was originally reading.
I don't mind the chime, good actually, but switching focus out of the
current message is not a good thing to do me thinks if that is how you
handle it.
You might be using something else other than focus to read the alternate,
new, message but with the various focus issues described by other list
members I might guess you are somehow tippping focus when various system or
application events occur.
This is just a heads up to help with any analysis you might be doing related
to Outlook or other focus issues and not a real problem unless it is not
intended to work this way.
