Actually this is a windows command. It works in any place where tabs are found. It does in fact work with window-eyes. The reading of tabs how-ever when this command is used it less then optimal. I have reported this problem to gw micro now the window-eyes team in the past. What should happen when this key is pressed is as follows. First the name of the new tab that is active should be read, then the name of the focused object should be read. What happens is the name of the focused object is usualy read not the name of the tab giving the user no indecation that the tab has changed. Extra features that should be considered. While in a window with tabs control 1 threw 0 should be able to move from tab 1 threw tab 10 if there are that many. Control ` should move the user to the page tab list to quickly review the tab list. These changes do not need to be maid to window-eyes it self. It could be done in the windows inhanced app. Note as I said I have reported this in the past with these recommendations. To date nothing has been done about them. Hth

This is the standard Windows hot key combo for reading through a standard TabList. It works in another screen reader but I havent gotten it to work in WE so far. I was guessing the Control-tab key may be a WE hot key but couldn't find it, at least not so far, in the WE docs after going through the list of we hot keys, looking under several likely topic Titles and trying a search on "control-tab". Do you know if this is a WE hot key since it is, or at least was, a standard Windows hot Key but doesn't seem to work in WE? At least it was listed in the quick search on google for windows hot keys I just performed - let me know if this is not the case if you know. What category would it be listed under if I want to turn it off in WE if not important? I designed a rather complex form using the Tab Control in Visual Studio and really don't want to slog through the labels in production mode using the mouse to open the various tabs nor have to use another reader on this page nor completely ReDesign and ReProgram what is a nice layout. If I can get the Windows Hot key to work, control-tab, I should be able to tab through the tab list properly me thinks.
