Hi,
Pam the other day I ran old new explorer on a computer and put classic shell
on the pc. I had a user who just did not want to go with windows 8 at all. I
did not tell her she was running windows 8. I left her alone for a few
hours on her new windows 8 pc. I then came in after she had been working for
a while and asked her how she liked her windows 8 computer. She was like
what I am running windows 8? Yes I said let do some stuff on facebook. She
was like ok I will go to the web site. I said no I set up the app. I got
her in to it she used it and now she will never go back to windows 7 because
there is no learning curve her system runs more stable and she loves the
face book windows app.
If you run old new explorer and classic shell you will not even know you
are using windows 8.1. as far as the ui goes and you will get the advantages
of windows 8.1.

Thanks for telling me that you can get windows 7 in computers again. I will

check. I have an old vista laptop, but if I can find one with windows 7 in
it, I may just go ahead and replace it. Pam.

I bought a Windows 8.1 laptop two months ago and I find it very useable.
Only issue I have are some focus issues but they are manageable for
the most part. So if you can get a Windows 7 machine I would say buy it
but I think the fear of Windows 8 has been over blown.
