How old are these misbehaving Flash Drives? Are they old enough to
be 1.0 vintage?

half my older flash drives must not be fast enough. they will show a
blank drive , may only shold folders but no files, or they may say
they need to be formatted. i can put these same flash drives in the
u s b 2 ports and all the folders and files will show and load fine.

I have a new computer that just has usb 3.0 ports and need to get some
kind of adapter to use some old 2.0 usb appliances I have.
Is there such of a thing as a usb 3.0 to usb 2.0 adapter and if there is
