Listers,

I have recently signed up to a Gmail account, and when looking at the page for the first time, I noticed there being options for screen reader users. I took a look at the help page, and it all looks quite interesting anyway, if not helpful.

I'm just wondering if those of you who use the Web interface find it to be all that blind friendly? If so, could you all tell me if there are any steps I should take when using WE to ease my adjustment to the whole thing? Any apps I should be aware of?

I have yet to make my first post, or subscribe to my first mailing list, so will really be using for the first time.

I may have mentioned this before, but I am hoping that Gmail will make it possible for me to subscribe to Yahoo groups based lists, because I haven't been all that successful with Comcast, so this is something I really don't want to have to do right now, but I have questions that I think would be a bit less than relevant to this list, although all of you have been most helpful.

One more thing if I may. Does Gmail allow for using offline mail clients like Thunderbird? I tried using Thunderbird to set up its self with Gmail, and the attempt was rejected as a possible attempt at a hack. I tried it using IMAP, so maybe I should have tried with POP. Anyway, any ideas about this aspect would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

Larry
