Hi Martha:

Try typing "cls" without the quotation marks, and then pressing Enter.
That will clear the screen, then type "exit" and press Enter.

In my experience, just typing "exit" and then pressing Enter did not
work because there was other text on the line where the cursor was,
therefore, when I pressed Enter, the system did not recognize the
command that I was entering.

I hope that makes sense.
